Andrew Strauss has named his all-time XI. As cricketers have picked their all time XI in the past, the England director has done the same. He choose Marcus Trescothick and the current England captain Alistair Cook as the openers.

At number 3 will be, Australia excellent opener Justin Langer.  Speaking about Kallis, Strauss quoted, “You needed an absolutely brilliant delivery to get him out. He was an absolute superstar.” Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar often finds himself in most of the favourites list. This one was no exception either. Commenting on Sachin, Strauss said, “Just an unbelievable player who could master any conditions.”

He also included Brian Lara as the number 6 batsmen. His abilities to play aggressive strokes made him a dangerous batsman of the world.

For the wicket keeping role, Andrew Strauss picked one of the best keepers in the world Adam Gilchirst who played a key role in dominating Australia.

As far bowlers are concerned, Shane Warne has been included as the spinner who was one of the best spinners in the world. Morne Morkel from South Africa, Glenn Mcgarth from Australia and Shoaib Akthar are the fast bowlers included in his all time XI.

Here is Andrew Strauss All Time XI:

Marcus Trescothick, Alastair Cook, Justin Langer, Jacques Kallis, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Morne Morkel, Glenn McGrath, Shoaib Akhtar.
