Vidarbha’s bowler Rajneesh Gurbani is now the second bowler to take the hattrick on the day two of the Ranji Trophy. Rajneesh picked the two wickets in the final two deliveries of the 101st over. Visitors score was 290 before the bowler jumped in joy by taking the hat-trick wicket on the very first ball of 103rd over. Gurbani is now the 2nd bowler to register a hattrick in Ranji. First is B Kalyanasundaram.
This is gurbani’s 10th first class fixture. He made his debut against Jharkhand at Wayanad back in October 2016. Gurbani has been known for taking wickets from time to time. The right arm medium fast bowler has been a key player for Vidarbha from sometime.
Gurbani bagged the hat-trick in his 23rd over which saw his last four wickets came when the ball smashed onto the stumps including the wicket of the last-man-to-go Kulwant Khejroliya.
Earlier, Delhi resumed their first innings with the overnight score of 271 which further saw Vidarbha openers in the form of Fazal and Sanjay Ramaswamy had given a solid start in their maiden final.
