Who could ever forget the day ten years back in 2007 T20 World Cup? Not only just a single match but the whole tournament that brought in the first T20 cup after ages were something to never forget. The young team India under the leadership of Dhoni after a wait of 24 years.

Being the underdogs the team emerged to be the best in the tournament and most memorable innings was none other than the one on 19th September against England. And the cricket fans can recollect nothing else but definitely, those six sixes and the commentary of Ravi Shastri shouting his lungs out as the balls vanished in the crowd.

In an interview with Mirror, Yuvraj recalled that magical night. “My father never wanted me to hit the ball in the air and always wanted me to play down the ground. I had no plans to hit six sixes, I was lucky all the balls were (in my) area and I was able to connect,” Yuvi said.

We all know how the conflict between Yuvraj Singh and Flintoff that led him to bat in such aggression against Stuart Broad. Yuvraj said that it was Dhoni on the other side that gave him the motivation.  “Swing as hard as you can.” was the word from the former Indian Captain. It was the fourth time in the history of cricket that a batsman hit a six off each of the six balls of an over.

The first delivery of Broad’s final over was swung over midwicket for a massive six and the ball landed outside the stadium. The second ball was flicked behind square for six more. On the third ball, Yuvraj backed away and carved the ball over the covers. By now, the fans were going berserk. An ashen-faced Broad changed his angle to round the stumps, but erred in length. A full toss outside the off stump was slashed over backward point.
Broad trundled in, delivered a half-volley and turned his head as Yuvraj smashed the ball over midwicket to make it six sixes off the over. Yuvraj’s team-mates went mad in celebrating a 12-ball half-century, the fastest in T20Is.

“FEW WORDS EXCHANGED BETWEEN YUVRAJ AND FLINTOFF….THOSE FEW WORDS WITH FLINTOFF JUST CHARGED HIM A BIT”

“6 6 6 AND ITS BALLAH! BALLAH! BALLAH!”

“WELL HE HAS A LICENSE HERE TO GO FOR THE FULL MONTY, 6 OUT OF 6”

“AND HERE GOES BROAD, LAST BALL OF INNINGS(OVER)….AND HE HAS PUT IT AWAY OR HAS HE…YES…INTO THE CROWD.SIX SIXES IN AN OVER..YUVRAJ SINGH FINISHES THINGS OFF IN STYLE…THE 1ST TIME IT HAS HAPPENED IN 20-20.STILL, ONE OVER TO GO..” as Shastri described.
