India’s domestic cricket season is starting soon and all the teams have started doing the preparation for the same. Delhi announced their Ranji squad of 45 members who will be attending a training camp which will be starting on 14th of September. The camp is at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Virat Kohli has been included in the squad.

Indian skipper who is going through a great phase as both skipper and a batsman have been selected in the squad along with team India opener Shikhar Dhawan. Along with these two, Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma are also named in the squad who will attend the training camp in Delhi.

Virat however, will be on international duties as India will be playing an ODI series against the Australia. The series is scheduled to begin on 17th September. India whitewashed the Sri Lanka in the recently concluded five-match ODI series. It is highly unlikely for the international players to feature in the camp.

”The camp will start on Monday, September 14 from 8:30 am at Ferozeshah Kotla Grounds, New Delhi. The players will report to Madan Lal, Ex-Test cricketer who will be the Chief Mentor Advisor. He will be assisted by Amit Bhandari.” DDCA vice-president, Chetan Chauhan said in a media release.

The final 15 who will be selected based on their fitness and performances during the camp will feature in the Delhi’s Ranji squad. Having already led the side for few occasions, Gautam Gambhir could be the choice to lead the side again.
