The Indian cricket team selection for the limited overs series against England will be picked in Mumbai on 6th January. The series involves 3 One day Internationals and 3 T20 match against England starting from 15th January. With many players injured, it provides a chance for the youngsters who have performed at the Under 19 and Ranji Trophy circuit to come into the senior team. Here we look at the 5 youngsters who could come into the squad versus England.

  1. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant is one of the youngsters who could come into the squad as an opener and also can also be a back-up wicketkeeper for MS Dhoni. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy season, he is in superb form for Delhi scoring 972 runs in 8 matches with the best score 308. His ability to put pressure on the bowler makes him a dangerous player. He also played for the Under 19 side which participated in the World Cup held in Bangladesh. With Rohit Sharma and Rahane injured, it would be a great chance to test Pant in the One-day International and T20 series against England. He also made his debut in the Indian Premier League season 9.
