RPS managed to score 161 runs in the twenty overs courtesy of contributions from skipper Steve Smith and MS Dhoni and also a late important blitz from Manoj Tiwary. It didn’t look enough runs on the board considering the match was being played at Chinnaswamy.

In the end, it proved to be enough runs for RCB. After Mandeep Singh departed early, skipper Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers tried to build a partnership, but, skipper Kohli couldn’t last long. AB De Villiers stood at the other end for some time before he was brilliantly outdone by Imran Tahir delivery and sheer brilliance of MS Dhoni. After that RCB didn’t look like they were in the game.
