Predicted Lineups: Mumbai Indians vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Wankhede will witness one of its most awaited match of the season today. Mumbai Indians host the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 38th game of the season. However as RCB almost out of the competition and in the worst form, it seems as of the match will be very much in Mumbai’s favour. But the RCB boys will look to rise to the occasion as they will look to play for pride. Their confidence levels are low at the moment. They will look to improve it and gain momentum to finish the tournament on a high. Mumbai, on the other hand, are very comfortable at the second spot in the league standings. Mumbai will hope to win this to get on top of the table. The last time these two met, Mumbai Indians won the match from almost having lost it. Samuel Badree had taken a hat-trick to reduce MI to 33 for 5. But Pollard ensured that he was there at the crease until the end and register a comfortable victory.

Mumbai have had a dream start to the season this time around. They have lost twice to just RPS and have beaten all other teams. RCB will not be an easy opposition as it seems to be. The RCB players will have mentally prepared themselves to face the Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians won the last game in a super over against the Gujarat Lions. They made an easy chase difficult by unnecessarily losing too many wickets towards the end after a good partnership front up. They will not want to repeat this again today. Their bowling looks the best in the tournament. Bumrah was outstanding in the super over. Mumbai Indians have had a consistent and balanced side and will not change it unless the last moment injury occurs.

It has been a forgettable season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore so far. They have to win all their remaining matches and also expect some luck to make it to the top four. Last season they won all 4 of their last four matches and made it to the playoffs and eventually to the final. However, this time around things seem difficult for them. Almost no player has played to his potential so far. A loss against RPS in Pune means that they will not be qualifying for the playoffs. The Bangalore team will look to end the season on a high and will play for pride. They have not found a settled combination yet with changes in every match they have played.
