In spite of struggling, KKR posted a more than a decent score of 178, courtesy of Manish Pandey. Mumbai Indians were off to a flyer as the opening partnership clicked and managed to score 65 runs before Parthiv Patel fell prey to Kuldeep Yadav. Nitish Rana joined Jos Buttler, but Buttler couldn’t last long either. Next came in the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who’s been struggling with injuries and has been out of action for 4 months.

He couldn’t do much in the first match against RPS either, here when he walked in, the pressure was mounting with each passing delivery. Mumbai Indians’ biggest hope was Rohit himself but he was a victim of an umpiring blunder. Mystery bowler Sunil Narine’s delivery stayed low which Rohit nicked first then it went on to hit the pad and the sound was clearly audible.
